Bridge

Fog (Cygnus) Bridge walk-through, completed in 1:25.8

How your approach works on Bridge is dependent on what the opponent is doing under the fog. Since you can’t see what that is, you just have to use your approach and hope for the best.

Walk-through

  1. From 0:00 to 0:29, double up your planet and then attack, capture and promote the furthest double you can reach. I always go for the lower double, but either should work fine.
  2. From 0:30 to 0:45, when the fog clears, you need to capture and promote the double directly across from yours.
  3. From 0:46 to 0:51, quite often at this point orange will have already captured the center singleton. Since they have yet to do so, I capture it here. Now that we can see some of the opponent, we have to determine how we are going to attack. From what we see here orange has a double and singleton captured. The stats shown in the bottom right of the screen show that orange has a strength of four, so we can assume that orange also has a singleton captured that we can’t see.
  4. From 0:52 to 1:05, I use an attack and release to get the orange singleton to absorb its units. Then attack and destroy it. Notice that when it’s destroyed at 1:01, the orange strength meter drops down to three. Then at 1:05 it goes back up to four. This means that the orange planet we can’t see has either promoted itself, or it has spread to another planet. For the best time, you really want it to have promoted itself.
  5. From 1:06 to 1:17, now we need to destroy and capture the orange double we can see, we have to capture it so we can see its neighbor planet.

At this point we can see that the orange strength meter is down to a two, since we can see an orange double, we know that is its last planet. All we need to do is destroy that planet.
